This is a simple piece of equipment that protects from overspray. The adjustable handle makes for different angles in use. With experience the need for masking before spraying is vastly reduced.
These save a lot of time and effort cutting in around doors and windows or making a colour change between ceiling and walls. Spray up against it, wipe the edge clean and carry on spraying.
